How Life Has Prepared Me For This Season

Communications & Media

Finding my voice

I earned my degree in Communications and Spanish from Simmons College and began my career in broadcasting with RKO Radio and Boston’s TV38.

Those experiences taught me how to communicate clearly, think creatively, and feel at ease speaking into a microphone, in front of a camera, or before an audience.

Whether speaking to one person or hundreds, I strive to communicate with authenticity, warmth, and vulnerability.

Experience That Built Invisible Hurts

Education & Leadership:

Creating places where people grow

As founder of Grace & Glory School of Dance, I taught and mentored more than 100 ballet students while developing programs that nurtured both character and confidence.

I also welcomed young women from the Webster House for Girls into my studio and created the Beauty From Within video series, combining classical ballet with lessons in self-worth and character development. The films were distributed nationally and sold through retail outlets.

Later, I founded Straight A Academy private high school and Straight A Academy Education Center, serving families for more than twelve years.

Beyond teaching, I developed innovative educational programs, led marketing efforts, and created opportunities for refugee children and students who simply needed someone to believe in them.

Life Has Been My Classroom

A Teacher at Heart

I have always believed that learning never ends. Some of my greatest lessons have come from classrooms, while many others have come from life’s hardest experiences. My hope is that Invisible Hurts becomes a place where we all learn from one another.

Throughout my life, I have been blessed with opportunities to:

• Teach and mentor children and adults

• Speak to both small groups and large audiences

• Coach individuals through life’s challenges

• Develop educational materials, workbooks, journals, and books

• Lead discussions that encourage healing, hope, and personal growth

• Create environments where people feel safe, valued, and heard

• Continue learning from every person whose story I have the privilege to hear

My vision for Invisible Hurts is simple:

• Thought-provoking retreats

• Compassionate support groups

• Inspiring guest speakers

• Practical workshops

• Honest conversations about life’s hidden struggles

• A welcoming community where every member has a voice

I don’t want this community to reflect only my ideas. I want it to be shaped by the people who become part of it. I look forward to hearing your suggestions, learning from your experiences, and growing together as we build something truly meaningful.

After more than six decades of life, I have discovered that none of us has all the answers—but each of us has something valuable to contribute. I hope Invisible Hurts becomes a place where we encourage one another, share what we’ve learned, and remind each other that healing is possible.

A Lifetime Preparing For This Calling

Coaching & Healing:

Learning to listen

In 2019, my work took a new direction as I became a certified Life Coach, Brainspotting Practitioner, support group leader, and peer facilitator.

Working with women recovering from betrayal trauma, domestic violence, shame, and emotional wounds taught me perhaps my greatest skill—not listening to respond, but listening to understand.

Helping women rediscover their worth, rebuild confidence, and find hope became more than my profession. It became my calling.

Operating Invisible Hurts

Creator • Connector • Visionary

The heart behind Invisible Hurts

At heart, I am a creator and a connector.

I love building meaningful programs, designing beautiful spaces, developing communities, and bringing people together with resources, encouragement, and hope.

Every chapter of my life—from media, education, mentoring, coaching, and leadership—has prepared me to create Invisible Hurts.

Today, that vision continues through support groups, retreats, educational programs, podcasts, creative resources, and a growing community where women can find healing, belonging, and hope.

Every season of my life has been preparing me for this one..

Invisible Hurts isn’t simply another business I started.

It’s the culmination of decades spent teaching, creating, mentoring, listening, and believing that every woman deserves a safe place to heal, rediscover her worth, and to learn how to dream again.
